After the door panel is removed and the dust cover is peeled away, the speaker wire is disconnected, three bolts are removed, and the speaker is pried away from the door.

Start:

Lift door panel off car, 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. To remove the speaker on this 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, I first had to remove the door panel.

 

Behind the door panel, there was this flexible foam dust cover, and the speaker I needed to remove. View of metal door frame 2005 Chevy Trailblazer.

 

Disconnect speaker wire connector 2005 Chevy Trailblazer. With door panel removed, I disconnected the speaker wire connector using a flat screwdriver to press in the lock tab. Then I pulled the connector apart.

 

I used a 7mm socket to remove the three mounting bolts around the speaker. Unscrew speaker from front door 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer.

 

Prying speaker from front door 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer. I had to use a flat putty knife to pry the speaker housing off the metal door frame.
